By Bus 
The village is served by a number of scheduled buses which connect to Lytham, Blackpool, Preston and beyond.There are Bus stops at the small green (outside the Grapes Hotel), on Station Rd (adjacent to the School) and Ribby Road (at the foot of Wray Cresent and on the opposite side closer to the green). However as the routes tend to take in other local villages you should check the most appropriate service first. You may find the Bus and Railway Planner useful.

By Taxi
Whilst there are no taxi firms based in the village there a number of firms locally which may be contacted.

By Cycle
The village is located approx 2 miles north of the section of the national cycle way running on the north side of the Ribble estuary between Preston, Freckleton, Warton and on to Lytham. 

By Foot
Not all of the roads approaching the village have footpaths and as such can be dangerous to pedestrians due to the volume of local traffic. However footpaths do exist from Kirkham, Moss side and Lytham and Ballam. There are also a number of pleasant cross county routes. 

By Rail
The nearest stations to the village are Kirkham (approx 2 miles) which is served by the main Preston to Blackpool line and Moss Side (approx 1 mile) which is served by the Preston to Blackpool South branch line. All trains pass through Kirkham but not all stop so check before hand. Please use the railway timetable or Bus and Railway Planner
