| LIVERPOOL |
Liverpool's city centre shopping area is centred on the
pedestrianised Church, Lord and Bold Street areas and
the two larger undercover malls of the St Johns Centre
and Clayton Shopping Arcade. There are many specialist
shops, most high street chain stores and the larger department
stores such as John Lewis (formerly George Henry Lee),
Lewis's (not to be confused with John Lewis!) and also
TJ Hughes on London Road.

Further shopping outlets are based at the Albert Dock
complex. Liverpool City Council has recently agreed with
Grosvener Henderson (Duke of Westiminster) to build a
new £700 million shopping and cultural complex to
transform the city centre.
The Cheshire Oaks Designer Shopping Park is approximately
15 miles from Liverpool "over the water" at
Ellesmere Port on the Wirral. |
