Housing Plan to be discussed by PC
At a meeting at 7.30pm on Monday 26th April in the Institute the Parsih Council are likely to discuss future Housing plans in Wrea Green. SWAG (Save Wrea Green Action Group) have objected to the plan (known as SHLAA) as it breaches 30+ requirements/policies of the Regional Spatial Strategy ( RSS) and therefore regard the plan as invalid. The Village Design Statement Committee have made similar comments - with less detail but with a cross-reference to the SWAG response. The Parish Council have yet to provide their comments, but it is undersood that these will be discussed at the next Parish Council Meeting on Monday 26 April in the "Tute" at 7.30pm ( but please check the agenda when it is available) Please don't miss this opportunity to make your feelings known to the Parish Council who represent us. Please come along and show support. We are trying to marshall at least two SWAG members to comment on every site (if necessary) pointing out reasons why the RSS and FBC's own Interim Housing Policy is breached time and time again by the proposals. You may have much more to add and at least you can endorse ( or not, as we live in democracy) what is being said. At the current time this SHLAA is only a draft (although it was drafted without reference to the Community - which is an RSS requirement). However unless it is challenged and changed, these sites could go forward to the FBC Housing Plan due to be finalised in 2012. Currently all these sites are at risk from Developers."
